Clubs:

Anyone interested in participating in Very Special Arts this year needs to attend a meeting on Tuesday, March 23rd in Mrs. Pentecost room from 3:30- 4:30. Only those who attend the meeting will be able to participate.
- The Annual Easter Egg Hunt will be held at Wolfe School on March 25 from 11:00 am till 12:45 pm. S.A.D.D. but TRU students will hide Easter Eggs and help the Wolfe students find them. To be eligible to participate, "SADD but TRU" Members must have attended SADD meetings. If you signed up for SADD but never attended a meeting you cannot participate in the Easter Egg Hunt, however, we will look forward to seeing you at meetings and other future events. Please see Officer Parler to get the permission slips that must be signed to participate.
- During the month of March, FCA will be collecting new or gently used baby blankets to deliver to the Neonatal Intensive Care and Neonatal Progressive Care units at Levine Children’s Hospital. Please bring any donations to Coach Pyland’s room anytime between now and April 1st.
- ARE YOU ARTISTIC? If so, enter your design for the 2010-2011 BLUE PRIDE t-shirt contest. All entries are due by 3:30 pm on Thursday, April 1st. See attached file for all the contest rules.
- All Senior Class T-shirts in stock are on clearance for half price. See Mr. Gehring if you are interested.
- Become a part of memory lane! The CATA Band Boosters are offering a "Buy a Brick" program to benefit the band and the school. There are two sizes of bricks to choose from, the 4" x 8" brick sells for $50.00 and the 8" x 8" brick sells for $100.00. Engraving is in all capital letters with a painted finish. Guidance:
- Students- On March 20th from 8:00-12:45 you have the opportunity to attend a Mini- "Camp College". There will be loads of information about applying for colleges and scholarships as well as other beneficial topics. This is a free opportunity. Please come by the Guidance office to receive additional information or register at: www.sacac.org.

Seniors - New Scholarship
Deadline: March 29
Union Power Cooperative Scholarship –must live in home that uses union power company. Selection of winner will be based on financial need, academic achievement, and extracurricular activities. Mrs. Long has 10 applications or you can find an application at www.union-power.com
Seniors: Please come by the Guidance Dept. as soon as possible to confirm information for your high school diploma.
- Seniors, if you have been accepted to a college, please let Ms. Tweed in guidance know.
Athletics:
Football Players: If you are interested in attending individual camps, drop by and see Coach Pyland. He has information on overnight and day camps for N.C. State, UNC, ECU, Furman, Elon, West Virginia, and Georgia Tech.
- Wingate University Women's Basketball is holding a day camp Saturday, March 20th from 1pm - 4pm. If you are interested, please see Coach Bush for information.
Performances/Theatre News:
- The Theatre II class is currently working on a theatre piece entitled "Fail." The piece is based on historical characters and is being written by the Theatre II students under the direction of Ms. Meredith Hunter, theatre student teacher, and Mr. Robinson. The show will be staged on March 26 and 27 at 7 pm. Tickets are $5.00.
- All cast of Carousel--please check the callboard outside Mr. Robinson's room daily.

Maximum enrollment of 24 per class. You must sign up with Mrs. Tweed in the Guidance office.
- The prom will be May 1st from 8-12 at The Speedway Club.
Tickets are $50 for seniors, $55 for juniors and will be on sale from 3/10-4/28.
Permission slips for non-CATA students will be available from Ms. Clark on 3/11.
- Yearbook Orders: The yearbook now costs $62.00 plus $4.50 in tax for a total of $66.50. The cost will go up from there so place your order today!
- Students, please be aware that inappropriate messages sent through Gaggle are blocked and are reviewed by a member of the CATA staff. Discipline referrals will be written for students who abuse the privilege of having the email accounts.
